Hello and welcome to my website!

I am proud to serve as MLA for the Lord Roberts constituency which includes the Riverview, Lord Roberts, Earl Grey, and Rockwood areas.

This December, during our annual Open House at the Legislature, I was happy to meet with members of our community, share some dainties, and learn what folks are thinking. I hope you had the chance to drop by and to see the gingerbread village, made by Riverview Ashland Childcare Centre, and the tree ornaments created by Lord Roberts Pre-school Childcare.

Since I grew up in our constituency and went to school there, my attachment to it is strong. We live in a wonderful, vibrant community, with three community centres, the Fort Rouge Leisure Centre and library, the South Osborne business strip, the Corydon business strip, Grant Park Mall, Churchill Parkway, the Pan-am Pool and the Riverview Health Centre. And this is only a partial list!

As the Minister of Advanced Education and Literacy, I believe that Manitobans should have opportunities to realize their potentials, to enhance their lives and to contribute to the economic, social, and cultural life of Manitoba. We all agree, I believe, that literacy benefits our current and future citizens’ lives and well-being. As well, we probably agree that affordable education makes Manitoba an excellent place to live and raise a family!
